A journey ‘two path strong’
Nyanggan Gapi ‘Perfect Coffee’ Cafe & Catering was launched during NAIDOC week 2017 and provides training and employment opportunities for the young people engaged in our programs.
We pride ourselves on making our quality products
in-house with our team. We enjoy infusing our foods with native ingredients.

2017Launching Our Dreams on Wheels
Nyanggan Gapi made its debut at Sealy Lookout, starting our journey with a humble coffee trailer donated by Nambucca Youthis. Our first significant engagement was serving at the NAIDOC festival this year, marking the beginning of ‘Nyanggan Gapi’ and our mission to connect and serve through coffee.
2018Our First Nyanggan Gapi Trailer
Building on our initial successes, we took a significant step forward by purchasing our very own Nyanggan Gapi Coffee Trailer. This milestone was a testament to our dedication to growing our vision and creating more opportunities in our community.
Unspecified DateExpanding Our Roots with a Container Cafe
A turning point for Nyanggan Gapi came when Uncle Barry Hoskins, a local elder, generously donated funds from his ‘Welcome to Country’ ceremonies. This pivotal support enabled us to upgrade to a small container cafe at Sealy Lookout.
2019The Evolution of Our Sealy Lookout Cafe
Thanks to Regional NSW funding, we were able to transform our small setup into the fully-realised cafe that stands today at Sealy Lookout. This significant upgrade allowed us to enhance our offerings and the experiences of our guests significantly.
2021New Seating Area at Sealy Lookout
In 2021, further enhancements were made by constructing a new seating area decking at Sealy Lookout. This added feature created an even more ambient and immersive experience for our cafe guests, inviting them to sit back and immerse themselves in the forest’s tranquility.
2022Welcoming Our Second Location
Nyanggan Gapi embarked on an exciting new chapter by expanding into a second cafe location at THE LINK in Toormina. This move increased our ability to hire and train more local youth, as well as generate more income for education, language and cultural programs within the community.
2024Expanding Our Horizons on Wheels
2024 also marks a significant milestone for Nyanggan Gapi with the delivery of our brand new coffee van. Fitted out and ready to hit the road, this mobile cafe is set to bring our unique blend of culture and coffee directly to events across the region. The introduction of our latest coffee van reaffirms our commitment to serving our community, ensuring that no matter where you are, Nyanggan Gapi is there to serve you a cup of ‘perfectly strong coffee’.
2024Relocating Our Second Cafe
In a strategic move, Nyanggan Gapi transitions its second location from THE LINK to a vibrant new setting at the NSW TAFE in Coffs Harbour. This relocation symbolises our continuous journey of growth and our aspiration to integrate more closely with the heart of our community.
